Somfy Proprietary Systems
Somfy's proprietary systems are cost-effective, stand-alone solutions providing complete control of solar shading and facade applications in a commercial building environment based on Somfy's proprietary protocol.

Open Systems
Somfy have chosen KNX/EIB and Lon as their open platform systems. Both are flexible, systems designed for larger installations where more complex control and advanced functionality of shading is required. Open systems are fully addressable systems which can be integrated with other applications such as lighting and heating systems on the KNX or Lon Bus.
